Coffee :(

Really want some coffee today and stumbling upon this awesomely branded coffee shop is making it difficult to resist! Good thing its out in Cali or I'd be headed down the street right now!

Lent

Each year for Lent, I try to do something positive and give up something negative that will make me a better person. This year I am giving up swearing, I don't do it often, but I really hate when I do! I'm also going to be more positive and less negative—but the real challenge this lent...  I'm going to give up coffee :(

This is going to be a tough 40 days my friends! 

I truly enjoy everything about it and I'm going to miss it! Yikes!

And so it begins...

New Orleans to St. Louis

I'm super excited for this weekend... it's Mardi Gras!! woot woot! Last year was a blast and a bit of a cultural lesson in Louisiana. About 12 of us (I think?) packed up and headed to New Orleans to get a feel for the real Mardi Gras of the south. Louisiana is beautiful and Mardi Gras there is everything you've heard about... and more!! I do wish I was headed south today with the group of people I had such fun with last time... but a new year, a new adventure! This year I'm headed a little more west, to St Louis! Also known to throw a great Mardi Gras — I'm excited for the opportunity for hidden adventure in a new city :)

Happy Valentine's day

Happy happy day of love! 

My mom has made all holidays extra special by adding her own touch of sweetness to them! From little surprises in the morning in grade school and high school to packages in college and even now that I have graduated she continues to send me love!!

She sent me this little key chain in her Valentine's package!

Keep on keepin' on!

Ugh! Work has been crazy busy for about 2 weeks straight now and I have had zero time to post, or blog, or read! Of course when I get home from work the last thing I want to do is hop on the computer and update... any suggestions!? It is fun, don't get me wrong but I feel so behind and I have even tried to keep a constant thread of posts in limbo so I can do quick posts... hmm. I must get back on the wagon because this is part of my new years resolution!

Hopefully I can turn this little spot around soon :)
