What if everything was digital...

I came across this innovative company called PUSH, in California. The name is a great fit because they really push the boundaries of aligning fresh design and interactive technology. The project I found most fun & creative was their Toyota Pruis marketing.

It only got me thinking about how close marketing is to becoming a full on digital experience. I visited Easton to check out their newly re-opened and updated Victoria's Secret store as well as Express. At Victoria's Secret, the windows are screens that display images and type and same with some in-store beauty marketing. Thus replacing the printed windows and sticker-like transflexes they used to have. Express now has TVs outside of the store that continually play the most recent fashion show, and inside, there are ipads that allow you to interact with some of the product and watch other fashion displays. It's exciting and scary at the same time for some one like me who loves print design and works with it daily! Obviously it would be a slow process if digital were to replace printed marketing all together, and most still enjoy a well designed and eye-catching direct mail piece, but what if everything does go digital....

I would certainly be out of a job, or I would need to brush-up on my web skills... yikes!

Pintrest update

Member when I was pumped for the start of Victoria's Secret Pintrest!? Well.... even better news: It is the fastest growing brand Pintrest page. Heck yes that's awesome :)

I've had the pleasure of working with a co-worker, Maria, on the Pintrest project since April and it's awesome to see how fast it has grown! She also has a blog and shared this exciting news earlier this week!

Portable Pizzeria

I stumbled across a really neat blog today called Joe's Daily and found this amazing fella with his own customized food truck:

Yep, I'm not kidding; Jon Darsky, owner and creator of Del Popolo, worked with designers to custom make his mobile pizzeria work on a heavy-duty delivery truck!

He just wanted to bring all of San Francisco a little of this:

YUM! Makes my mouth water. Very fresh, veryyy italian pizza made in a minute. Literally, his oven is so hot, it cooks the pizza in one minute!! Check it out {}

Nikki, the dog

I know I have mentioned my family dog before, Nikki, but news as of late my friends – She has started her own blog! Ok, so my mom writes for her... but she was so inspired by my blog that she would like to share her "everyday thoughts" with all of you! It's quite funny actually.

My mom was an English major and her fantastic writing has a chance to shine through Nikki's simple, straight-forward, but humorous thoughts. I'm sure most of you with pets can relate to talking to their beloved animal, even talking for them at times. Well picture this: Nikki is extremely mellow, and like most, it's the little things in life that matter most to her. She enjoys long walks, naps in the sun, lush grassy patches in the yard, and of course her kibbies! (Ok, this kind of sounds like a personal-add for a dog... just go with it.)

She is very Eeyore-esque, a realist, an "ohh bother" type and scared of almost everything... but we love her!!
{for example}

 Read her blog {here} and you shall see!!
